ArtCenter/Istanbul
ArtCenter/Istanbul was founded in 2008 to promote contemporary art in Istanbul and support young artists by providing studio space during the first stages of their career. Situated in its renovated historical building on Ayhan Işık Street which connects to the Istiklal Street, the most vibrant arter of the city, ArtCenter/Istanbul presented its resident artists’ works with annual exhibitions. It closed its doors upon Borusan Holding’s decision to concentrate its activities in visual arts through Borusan Contemporary, its office museum. Exhibitions of the ArtCenter/Istanbul presented at the Borusan Music House are: “Mind Models: The First Show” (2010), “Considering the Circumstances: The Second Show” (2011), “What I Love: The Third Show” (2012), “Untold, Unwritten: The Fourth Show” (2013).
