BIPO closes the season in 2020, the year dedicated to the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, with the composers’ masterpiece the 9th Symphony performed by Salzburg Bach Choir, known as one of the best vocali ensembles in the world that captivated BIPO audiences last year, and accompanied by stars such as Ekaterina Siurina, Elena Maximova, Peter Sonn and Bogdan Baciu. Soprano Ekaterina Siurina worked wonders in her roles as Servilia in La clemenza di Tito performed at Palais Garnier in Paris, and roles as Gilda and Susanna performed at Covent Garden and The Metropolitan. Mezzosoprano Elena Maximova captivated audiences at La Scala and many of Europe's prominent stages as Carmen, and The Metropolitan as Yevgeni Onegin’s Olga. Together with Peter Sonn, the immensely talented tenor that had made his debut at the Salzburg Festival and has performed at prominent world venues since, and baritone Bogdan Baciu, who has received standing ovations last season for his roles as Papageno, Onegin and Mercutio, BIPO will be performing an unforgettable concert for an unforgettable night.
