Described by the The New York Times as “a beautiful woman who commands the stage,” Ailyn Pérez also holds the Richard Tucker and Plácido Domingo Awards. Known in the opera world as “a combination of extraordinary talents” Perez’s repertoire consists of works primarily from the 19. century, the apex of opera music. In addition to her stage performances, Pérez has a considerable number of admirers for her album Love Duets recorded with Stephen Costello that includes songs from Heggie’s Great Scott, Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore and Puccini’s La Bohème. In one of the brightest moments of the last season, the artist received standing ovations at the Berlin Staatsoper for her role as Violetta in La Traviata in May 2018.
