For the opening concert of this season’s last quarter, the piano duo Ufuk and Bahar Dördüncü will accompany BIPO under the baton of Gergely Madaras. Madaras has been the music director of the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège since 2019 and has given successful concerts with ensembles such as City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, RAI National Symphony Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra last season, in addition to recording Ravel, R. Strauss, Berlioz and Rimsky-Korsakov. For his first concert with BIPO, Gergely Madaras will direct the successful and popular pianist duo Ufuk and Bahar Dördüncü, in a piece by American composer John Adams titled Grand Pianola. Three esteemed vocal artists with successful careers, will be on stage for the Adams’ piece: soprano Ecem Arıcasoy, soprano Ceren Aydın, and mezzo-soprano Dilan Şaka.
