Conductor Alexander Liebreich, the winner of the ICMA 2018 award for “Contemporary Music” meets with BIPO at this concert. We will hear Für Lennart in Memoriam for string orchestra composed by Arvo Pärt in 2006, Joseph Haydn’s “Trauer” Symphony of which he willed the Adagio to be played at his own funeral, and Richard Strauss’ masterpiece for strings Metamorphosen in which his melodies born from each other portray “transformations.” The concert will be at Borusan Klasik on Thursday, July 8 at 20.00 (GMT +3)
