Guitarist and composer Şevket Akıncı, who is celebrating his 50th birthday and 30th anniversary in art this year, will be presenting the “electric” versions of some songs from his 2021 album Dünyada Saat Kaç? released by Tarla Records, and his 2017 album Escher Chronicles released by A.K. Music, with his nine-piece orchestra. A few names that Şevket Akıncı has worked with over the years are; Kerem Öktem on drums, Demirhan Baylan on electric bass, Mehmet Korkmaz on electric guitar, Adem Gülşen and Müge Hendekli on synthesizer, Amy Salsgiver on vibraphone and marimba, Furkan Akatay on trombone, Hazal Göksu on vocals and flute, Tamer Temel on tenor and soprano saxophone… This special concert, which will also be attended by surprise guests, is both the premiere of these albums and a summary of Şevket Akıncı’s illustrious career.
