MUSIC VOYAGERS

In accordance with its aim of reaching wider masses with its releases, Borusan Culture and Art Publications delivers a book series prepared for children. The series “Music Voyagers”, comprised of five books and a CD prepared by Yaprak Sandalcı, was released on June 1998. Illustrated by Maya Ersan, the book is prepared to be a warm introduction to music for children and for them to learn music with joy. The book is also a reference book for parents without formal musical training. “Music Voyages”, invites children into a world of stories, aiming to discover the language of music in an entirely different setting than that of conventional lessons. In the series, basic elements that constitute the foundations of music education such as notation, sound and rhythm are introduced within a story and with games derived from this story. “Music Voyagers” provides an opportunity to learn music while having fun through various exercises and songs. Guided by the storybook titled The Mystery of Porte Castle, children meet fairy tale heroes symbolizing musical notes and step into the mysterious world of music.
