With the arrival of spring, BIPO meets its audience with a programme full of dance and two guest stars. In the programme consisting of works by Zoltán Kodály, Édouard Lalo and Sergey Rachmaninov, the orchestra will be conducted by Kerem Hasan, chief conductor of Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck, one of Austria’s most successful orchestras, for the past three seasons. In addition to being BIPO’s guest in Istanbul throughout the current season, the successful young conductor, who will also give concerts with the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Detroit Symphony Orchestra, is admired in the field of opera conducting with masterpieces such as The Magic Flute, Rigoletto, Samson and Dalilah. The night’s soloist is cellist Daniel Müller-Schott, who has given concerts this year in Germany and Belgium following a successful US tour. Müller-Schott has recorded a vast repertoire ranging from J.S. Bach to Viennese classics, from the Romantics to the works of master composers of the 20th century. His performances have been praised as “having the winning freshness of rediscovery”.
