BIPO’s guest conductor at the first concert of April will be Gergely Madaras, music director of the Orchestra Philharmonique Royal de Liège. Madaras, who has been in this position since 2019, continues to work in Liège and Brussels and gathers acclaim as one of Europe’s most recognized and beloved conductors through regular broadcasts on Mezzo TV, Medici TV and RTBF. Violinist Bomsori Kim, who will be performing Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto no.1 at the concert, is one of the new stars of the Deutsche Grammophon label. Bomsori, who has performed at concerts and touring programmes with the New York Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic and BBC Orchestras last season, has demonstrated that she deserves the rank of star with her Hollywood Bowl concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
