Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra’s season finale will offer its audience a curated selection from the revered repertoire of pre-modern European music history. In this concert, where the orchestra will meet with the Chinese American pianist Zhang Zuo, or more widely known by music enthusiasts as Zee Zee, the talented conductor Nisan Ak will conduct BIPO, establishing an equally positive connection with both the orchestra and the audience. Zee Zee made a bestselling album with the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Paavo Järvi in 2022. Known for performing the works of Wagner, Liszt, Ravel, Schoenberg and Poulenc, Zee Zee is highly appreciated for her command of the turn-of-the-century repertoire. And once again, distinguished works from this era will be featured in the closing concert of this season. Alongside Grieg and Beethoven, we will bid farewell to another magnificent season with the works of two exceptionally talented female composers of the 19th century, Mayer and Farrenc.
